In the past when I got the question “what do I need to do to transform my body?”, I would always respond with something generic like just find some form of fitness you love and do that. But in reality that will only get you so far. I think lifting weights is the only way to go, it will cause you to grow physically and emotionally.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star is a tried and true classic shoe for strength training and lifting.
Over the last decades, countless athletes and lifters have turned to Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star shoes for their flat sole constructions and good stability. For example, Converse are regularly worn by powerlifters for these reasons.
In this video, I’ll cover if Converse are good for lifting and discuss their performance for squats, deadlifts, and what shoes actually out perform them.

Overall, the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star is a good shoe for lifting and it will work for most lifters especially beginner and intermediate lifters.
I think Converse start to fall short as you get more specific with your training and want something a little more dialed in for how you lift.
Plus, in 2023 we now have more shoe options than ever for supporting our strength training and lifting performance.

Ontario has announced plans to lift all pandemic restrictions, in phases, by the end of March. It will start by lifting capacity limits on restaurants, bars and gyms for those fully vaccinated, this coming Monday.

If you can’t lift your arm out to the side because of shoulder pain, this video will help you out. If you first improve your thoracic extension you can improve shoulder mobility. Then you can strengthen your posterior shoulder muscles and stretch and strengthen your chest and anterior shoulder. These strategies will help you fix your shoulder pain when lifting your arm out to the side.
